Pleasure and Pain, together again.....

MYNX SYNX- A RETROSPECTIVE

Wow, people! Mynx has been caught in a tragic vortex-spin or some trippy time-space continuum evil shudder. During the last 7 days, everything has changed, for the good and for the bad.

Allow us to explain.

It all started when one member of Mynx decided to nail some of the band members for being, well, lame. And that, of course, prompted the band mate who was most disturbed by the "lame-calling" to become contentious.

What ensued was a virtual bitch slap. Sorry, moms and dads of young children, but that's all this "altercation via email" can be called. Really, it included long drawn out chapters of emotional tirades such as "while we're at it," "remember the time?," plus the ever-popular "cut the drama," "don't even get me started," and numerous "ohhhh, reaaaaalllllly?" comments in the form of emails.

And as much fun as it would be for y'all to read the word-for-word transcriptions of these precious tomes, we dare not print such vivid vituperation! (BlipsWerx lawyers are the biggest sharx on the northern hemisphere Pacific Coast).

In a nutshell, the band member who was most upset quit Mynx, just days before our big debut at Kahle's Big Good-Bye Ball in Paso Robles, California.

And then the next day, in a miraculous turn-around, she un-quit. Whew! And the best news was that BlipsWerx (as far as we knew), was unaware of the growing animosity....

IN THE GREEN ROOM

All went surprisingly well back stage on Sunday after Mynx dismissed their groupies, style consultants and the press, and then categorically went through the rock star motions of dressing and preparing for their show.

Tension in the room was thick, like putrid fog, or 10-day-old peas porridge hot finally gone bad and cold, or a Hollywood dumpster on a hot sultry mid-August day.

And yet, lip glosses were shared, compliments were exchanged, and sick high-fashion footware was extolled with super-syrupy smiles and much-too-twinkly winks, as Mynx paraded into the limelight.

ON STAGE

Excitement filled the warm Paso Robles air as Mynx sashayed onto the stage, greeted by cheers and shout-outs from fans.

Kiki kicked off the set with a rollicking entrance into "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," adorned by backing vocals  of Alexia, RoXXy and Serenity. The song ended with gusto, and without a beat, they started "Tush," surprising fans with their own sultry version of the song.

Band introductions led the audience into rounds of laughing and clapping (see the video on YouTube and the BlipsWerx site), as Mynx rolled easily into "Talk Dirty To Me."

Their final tune was, naturally, their hit single, "Junkie For Your Love," which RoXXy started solidly on the bass.

But then Kiki unknowingly stepped on her guitar cable and yanked it out of her guitar, prompting the other Mynx to stop the song!

ROCK STARS COLLIDE

A stage squabble started and nearly killed the phenomenal energy that Mynx had built with their audience. RoXXy asked Kiki, "are you really ready to start?" and then Alexia asked her "did you write this song?" Serenity watched with abandon as Kiki, obviously overly-defensive and out of character at her gaffe, told Alexia to "shut up or I'm going to pull your hair."

But then RoXXy quelled the madness by playing the intro, before a real fight erupted.

The show ended on a spectacular note, with the crowds asking for another song! Of course, BlipsWerx producers stated in no uncertain terms that they were not paying any over-time to Mynx or their entourage, so the show stopped short of an encore. But Mynx lived up to their reputation of "Always leave the audience begging for more!"

SHOW'S OVER

Before the audience left the event, RoXXy took the mic and announced that she was moving back to Colorado for good so she could live in a perpetual Rocky Mountain High.

BlipsWerx promptly tore up the Mynx "spec deal" contract.

The End.

(Unless you are a female bass player. Or female rhythm guitarist. Or female drummer. Auditions, anyone?! Call Kiki Cash for info).

Love and peace to all our friends, fans, and remaining supportive family members,

MYNX.

P.S. See the video anyway, and always, Thynx Mynx!
